Dr. Stone review: An anime for science lovers & haters.(spoiler free)
Hello weebs! Today we are doing review of Dr. Stone. But first tell me are you a science lover? If you are then you should watch Dr. Stone but, if you don't love science then you must watch Dr. Stone because you will gonna love science after watching it. It is a sci-fi, comedy anime but there are no robots, high technology or any other thing like that and that makes it unique so let's get down to plot and other points.
Plot
It's story started with a normal day where everything was going normally but then suddenly a ray of light appear and transform every living creature on earth into a stone statue. And after few thousand years a 15 year boy name senku get revived from petrification. When he wakes up he found that human civilization is gone and cities and buildings are turned into forest. So senku started finding a way to rebuild human civilization and for that he started reviving his friends. Now in this stone world senku and friends are trying there best to rebuild human civilization. Will they succeed or not? For that watch the anime.
My thoughts on plot.
The plot sure is unique and I really enjoyed the story so far and if you think that plot is not very good then don't go because there are many more amazing things to discuss. The plot is just the tip of the iceberg because there is so much more thing in this anime. You better check out those things on your own.
Genre
It's is a sci-fi, comedy, adventure and post- apocalyptic anime but two most amazing aspect of the series is it's sci-fi and comedy. It is a series which you will watch with a smile on your face.
Animation
Animation is most noticeable in an action scene but Dr stone don't have much of action scene so it is little difficult to tell but from my personal experience I enjoyed it's animation and I didn't find any flaws at all. In short, Dr. Stone's animation is decent.
Another thing, I really liked it's art style and character designs.
Dubbing quality
Yes, it has a dub version and dubbing is really good. If you like watching anime in dub then you definitely gonna love it. I personally watched in dub and after that I don't want to watch it in Japanese. I really like it's dubbing. Final conclusion Dr. Stone's dubbing is really good.
Music
Don't worry folks it's music is nice. OSTs are enjoyable and openings are bangers. Not just opening ending are also bangers especially ed 3.
Characters
Dr. Stone has some very good and interesting characters. It is a comedy anime so most chracters are basically funny and crazy type but they are good and there are so many characters in this series and of different kinds. So you better be ready to change your list of favourite characters.
Other points.
The overall anime is very good and worth watching. Another good point is that, it is a family friendly anime which means you can watch it with your family as it don't have any adult scenes or fan servicing (it does mentioned word "d**k" in episode 2 but for rest, it's all clear). What I like the most about Dr stone?
The this I like the most in anime is it's sci-fi aspects. The way senku invents things and step by step explanation is just amazing. There is lot you can learn from this anime and if you can remember all that then you will become coolest guy in your class. And this is why I was saying that it is a anime for both, science lover and haters and this make the anime stand out from the rest of the sci-fi anime.
Series downside
There aren't many downsides in series but like every thing it is not perfect. There is not much of emotions in series main character senku. The story also contains some unnecessary stuffs and main antagonist doesn't make so much sense. But most of the downsides are unnoticeable.
Conclusion
Dr stone is a ongoing series and it currently has only 2 seasons and there is lot to reveal so early conclusion is not a good idea but I can see a lot of potential in this anime and I am very excited for season 3 because of season 2 ending. It is worth hype and get excited because we are not very far from season 3 so let's wait and thanks for reading.
