Read this before starting a new anime. Guide

Hello guys this is a small guide that you should read before choosing your next anime. I prepared it by keeping in mind that you are a beginner in anime but even if you aren't, don't worry it won't be a waste of time because there are many things that you can learn too.  

Why should I read it? 

I am recommending you to read this before starting a new anime because in this guide I will introduced you to some amazing genres along with recommendations. I will also introduce you to some common terms that you must know about animes. Of you are a beginner then this is going to be very helpful for you but even if you are not then don't go because there are things you can learn too. 

Brief introduction.

Now a days Animes are popular like never before. Craze of anime and it's audience is growing day by day but there is one thing that I find very common is anime community and that is, people only watches action animes and when I say "action" then it actually means Shonen Animes because that's how people define anime now a days. I agree that action is an amazing genre to watch but there are plenty more in the world of anime. If you will keep watching same genre then you will get bored and if you are watching only shonen Animes then it will happen sooner because as we all know that shonen animes shares a lot of similarities. 

So what should you do? What anime should I watch next? For these answers keep reading because I am gonna introduce you to the whole new variety and genres that anime offers us. 

So let's begin..... 

Anime is not all about Action! Action! 

Many people just watch shonen animes like Naruto, hxh, one piece, black clover etc... Ignoring other categories. If you ask me then I watch long Shonen Animes only after completing 4-5 short animes of other genres. Long running animes are generally slow paced so you will get bored if you will watch it again and again. Try some other genres like slice of life or romance or some mystry, thriller. After action, romance is second most popular genre in anime. 

Action animes generally contain lot of violence so it is not good to watch is so much so I will advise try some light hearted animes like- Dr. Stone, re:life, kaguya sama love is war, watakoi or any other romantic or comedy anime because it can keep your mind fresh. 

Action is not limited to fights only. 

When I talk about action then probably you will think about fight scenes or something like that right? But there is more to action for example sports. Most people ignore sports anime but action in sports anime can't be ignored. Some amazing sports anime like- haikyuu, Slam dunk, ping pong the animation, prince of tennis or hagime no ippo are some of the best examples of sports anime with amazing action and animation. You can find a anime about any sports you can think about but if you don't like sports then still don't give up because once you will start watching them then you will eventually fall in love with them like I fell in love with vollyball after watching haikyuu and boxing after watching hagime no ippo. It can even help you in improving in certain sports. 

Try animes made for mature audiences. 

 Most animes are made for teenagers and these animes does have much deep/dark storylines so now I think it's time for you to try some animes made for mature audiences (20+) called seinen. Now I will give you the recommendation of some of the best seinen animes so give them a try.

• March comes in like a lion 
• Re:life 
• Erased 
• Death parade 
• Vinland Saga 
• Cowboy bepop     

Try following your passion. 

Do you like painting or dancing or singing? Or do you like cooking? If there is anything that you like then try watching anime related to it. You can find anime of any hobby you like and not just that you can even find your hobby with anime. You can simply try any anime related to you hobby or thing you are interested in because just by watching anime you can experience it. You can find anime of your favourite sports or simply try watching anime related to game development or a business and if you can't decide your hobby then just watch anime about a person who also don't know what to do or suffering with same problems like you for example- Welcome to the N.H.K, tatami galaxy, mob phycho 100 etc... 

Old is gold. 

I have seen many people who refuse to watch masterpiece animes just because they are old. The era of 90s is the golden era of anime. It was the time when anime gets its popularity outside of Japan but many people just ignore them. They just forget that same anime never gets old. Not just 90s the era of 2000 was also amazing where we got some masterpiece animes like- death note, code gease, monster, full metal Alchemist brotherhood, Gintama etc...                                 list Legendary animes of 90s-

Try Anime Movies.

Most anime watchers do even know that anime aren't just limited to series, there are  movies also. And I am talking about movies that aren't related to any series. Best thing is that you don't need to watch long series to understand movies so it makes it less time consuming and if you don't have much time to watch series then go ahead and try movies. Some of the best anime movies are- 

• Your name (Must watch) 
• I want to eat your pancreas
• Perfect blue 
• Grave of the fireflies (Must watch) 
• Silent voice 
• Spirited away 
• Weathering with you 

Anime genres you may never heard of. 

Anime has so many genres and this makes anime for everyone. So let's take a look at genres that are exclusive to anime only. 

Isekai:- it is a genre of anime where main character of the anime reborn in a different world. It is like fantasy but with a narrow plot. My recommendation:- Re:zero 

Seinen:- anime created for a mature audiences. My recommendation:- parasyte 

Mecha:- Anime where characters fight with machines or robots. My recommendation:- Neon Genesis Evangalion. 

Ecchi:- These kind of animes are little difficult to explain but you can say that these animes are 18+ ;). My recommendation:- prison school. 

Slice of Life:- Plot of these animes are related to normal stuff that happens in our day-to-day life. My recommendation:- Stines gate. 

Shoujo:- These animes are generally made for teenage girls. My recommendation:- fruit basket. 

Harem/Reverse Harem:- In Harem main character is a male and surrounded by female characters and vice versa in reverse Harem. My recommendation:- high school dxd. 

Parody:- These anime exaggerate everything from real people and stories to other anime and games in a comedic fashion. My recommendation:- Gintama.
