Today we'll be talking about the 10 Greatest anime studio of all. There are many anime studios in today's world and most of them are influenced by others studios and that's our topic today, the most influential anime studios of all time. 

The global anime industry has come to a long way in the past few decades, and that’s thanks in no small part to those who’ve worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the medium what it is today.

Studio Ghibli

Studio Ghibli is one of those legendary names. Though they’ve only made a few movies over the years, they’re widely regarded as some of anime’s best, and their influence has spread into all genres. If you love anime, chances are you love Ghibli’s work, too. They have a knack for capturing emotion and telling stories that stick with us long after we finish watching them. Their ability to combine fantasy with reality is unparalleled, so it’s no surprise that many imitators have tried (and failed) to emulate their style. The studio was founded by Hayao Miyazaki in 1985, who directed several feature films for them before retiring from directing full-time in 2013. The studio is now almost close to it's end but that's not gonna be an end because Ghibli has earned a special place in our heart and there work is always going to inspire others.

Studio Perriot is a Japanese animation studio established in May 1979 by former employees of both Tatsunoko Production and Mushi Production. The studio is most well known for its shounen animes like Naruto, bleach, Yu yu hakusho and Black Clover. The studio is responsible for creating 2 out of 3 Big Three animes making it a sensation of 2000s and a direct competitor to Toei Animations. Undoubtedly, Studio Perriot is one of the most influential anime studio of the all time.

Madhouse

The most award-winning anime studio of all time is Madhouse and the influence that it made in anime industry is huge. Since its founding in 1972, Madhouse has been home to some of Japan’s greatest animators and artists, including master directors Satoshi Kon (Perfect Blue), Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion), and Yoshiaki Kawajiri (Ninja Scroll). With a roster boasting approximately 150 titles, it’s safe to say that their name has become synonymous with high-quality animation. In fact, for many viewers around the world, seeing Madhouse Presents on an anime credits sequence means you can expect top-notch visuals and storytelling from start to finish. Studio Bones

Founded by three ex-Gainax employees (Takahiro Omori, Hiroshi Osaka, and Toshihiro Kawamoto), Bones was originally meant to be a 2D research laboratory for Gainax, but quickly grew into an animation powerhouse of its own. The studio’s first big hit came in 2004 with Fullmetal Alchemist, based off Hiromu Arakawa’s popular manga series. While most studios would have been content to rest on their laurels after such a success, Bones went back to work immediately and churned out another huge hit with Ouran High School Host Club just one year later not just that, later it produced some really amazing anime with an amazing representation of work which made it a global giant in anime industry. Currently studio bones is regarded as the one of the best studio of modern generation.

Sunrise

Among its most popular creations are Gundam, Lovely Complex, The Big O, and studio's original work, Code Geass. The studio is also responsible for creating both seasons of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, which many consider among anime’s greatest achievements. If you have an appreciation for high-quality mecha anime or just love space operas with plenty of drama and action, then Sunrise should be your go-to studio. The studio is also responsible for creating the legendary Cowboy bepop series which gain an immense amount of popularity in western countries.

Shin-Ei Animation

You may never heard of it but I am sure that you have watched the animes made by this studio. The studio has made our childhood memorable by creating the immortal animes like- Crayon Shin-Chan, Doraemon, Ninja Hattori and many more. While many anime fans are quick to name studios like MAPPA and Toei Animation as among their favorites, few realize that these larger-than-life outfits have direct ties with Shin-Ei Animation, which started back in 1956. Based in Tokyo, Shin-Ei has worked with some of anime’s biggest names—including Osamu Tezuka and Hayao Miyazaki—and established itself as one of Japan’s preeminent animation houses. It was a founding member of Nippon Animation, for instance, and produced multiple shows for NHK (Japan’s national public broadcasting organization). Many great animators got their start at Shin-Ei before branching out on their own; its impact on Japanese pop culture is undeniable making it worthy of being in the list.

Production IG

This Tokyo-based animation studio specializes in a variety of different kinds of media including video games, film, and television series. With over 22 years of experience and credits on works like Ghost in The Shell, Haikyuu, and Attack on Titan, Production IG is one of Japan’s best anime studios. Known for their high production value and movie-quality CGI effects that don’t feel out of place with 2D animation styles, Production IG consistently produces some of Japan’s best shows. By winning industry awards for excellence at home (and abroad), they were also named Best Production Company at The Tokyo Anime Awards multiple times. In addition to animation, they have worked on a number of live action films as well.

MAPPA

Currently at 2022, MAPPA is the most popular anime studio. After production of AOT S4, their every next project is very successful. Over two decades ago, a group of college students called Daicon Film were asked to help animate parts of an anime series called Super Dimension Fortress Macross. The young artists did so well that they were hired on full-time, forming a company that would come to be known as Studio Nue—and eventually MAPPA, one of Japan’s best anime studios . . . today. The studio has produced countless iconic shows and movies, including Jujutsu kisen, Terror in Resonance etc... Even if you don’t recognize their name, you probably know their work. The future of MAPPA is very bright and maybe in next 10 years, it will become a legendary studio.

Kyoto Animation

Founded in 1985 by Yoko and Hideaki Hatta is one of the Best anime studio around today in terms of animation. Kyoto Animation also known as KyoAni is known for their unique style and storytelling techniques. They focus on slice-of-life stories with fantastic character development that has inspired many up-and-coming anime studios. Some notable KyoAni titles include Haruhi Suzumiya, Clannad, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Apart from series, they have also worked in several movies including The Silent Voice.

Popular works:- The Silent voice, Violet evergarden, k-on, clanned, Hyouka etc... 


Toei Animation

No doubt about it, Toei Animation is the greatest and most influential anime studio of all time. First established on December 10, 1956 by former magazine publisher of manga publication, Toei Animation has been one of the leading studios in anime. Its first production was Tetsuwan Atom, a popular show from 1961-1966. It introduced worldwide audiences to Japanese animation. The studio has made a blockbuster in every decade and has ruled the anime history for over 50 years. They introduced anime to many different countries and they are the one of the biggest reason for the popularity, anime has in this era. Either it's 60s or 70s where it ruled the world with super sentai, astro boy or today's modern world of one piece and dragon Ball super, Toei Animation always have a special place in anime world.

Notable works:- One Piece, Dragon Ball, slam dunk, Digimon, super sentai, dragon quest, sailor moon etc..
