 Naruto vs Sasuke: who is more powerful? 

Naruto vs Sasuke is one of the most popular debates in the Naruto franchise. Both characters are very important to the series, Sasuke is the deuteragonist while Naruto is the protagonist of the series and both these characters possess immense amounts of power. As we all know both characters are reincarnation of Indra and Ashura and they have even saved the world from Kaguya.

Naruto and Sasuke may be best friends but they have fought in the series many times but still it is not clear who is stronger which leads to all these debates and fan theories. That is why here I am going to give a conclusion to this debate. In this article I will compare the power levels of Naruto and Sasuke throughout the series. There were frequent changes in power level of both characters throughout the series therefore it won't be easy but I will make it as accurate as possible. 

So let's begin… 

Naruto: powers, jutsus and abilities 

Rassengan and Shadow clone are two of the most used jutsu of Naruto. His other jutsus are just different versions of Rassengan. Other than jutsu, he can also use different modes/transformation. He has good thai-jutsu and an immense amount of chakra reserves. So here is the list of Naruto's powers Jitsu and abilities- 

Jutsu: 

• Shadow clone jutsu 
• Rassengan and its other varients 
• Toad summoning jutsu

Modes/transformation:

• Tailed beast cloaks 
• Sage mode 
• Nine-tails chakra mode 
• Tailed beast mode
• Sixth path sage mode 
• Bayron mode 

Other abilities: 

• Ability to fly 
• Ability to sense opponents
• High chakra reserve 
• Quick Healing 

 

Sasuke: Powers, jutsu and abilities 

Unlike Naruto who is mostly reliable in powers Nine-tails, Sasuke is reliable in his kekkie-genkai, sharingan. His eyes are the main source of power. He knows a lot of jutsus and barely knows any transformation. He has MS sharingan and rinnegan which makes him stronger than many ninjas. He learnt chidori from Kakashi which is one of his most used techniques and from Orochimaru he learnt to use snake techniques. His top tier techniques are Susanoo and Amatrasu. With Rinnegan he can use so many unique techniques like teleportation, replacement etc and how can we forget Kirin, a jutsu he used during his battle with Itachi with clouds and lighting.

• Snake controlling techniques
• Fire style
• Susanoo 
• Amaterasu 
• Indra Arrow 
• Kirin 
• Summoning jutsu that summons Amada (giant snake) and Gadura (giant eagle)

Other abilities: 

• All Sharingan and MS sharingan abilities
• All Rinnegan abilities 
• Amazing sword fighting skills 
• Body replacement technique 

Naruto vs Sasuke over different period of time 

Naruto and Sasuke are arch rivals. They have fought each other many times but still it is not clear who is stronger as they get frequent power changes. Therefore we will now compare their power level through different courses of time that is from start of the Naruto series to current Boruto episodes. So let this ultimate showdown begin.

At Begging of the series 

At Beginning of the series, Naruto and Sasuke were just newly promoted genins that's why they aren't that strong but Sasuke was way stronger than Naruto. Hence, Sasuke. 

After "Search for Tsunade" arc 

It was the forth arc of the series. It this arc Naruto learnt Rassengan and summoning jutsu from Jiraiya and even fought toe to toe with Kabuto. Naruto's strength grew a lot in this arc therefore, Naruto was stronger than Sasuke at that point of time.

At end of Naruto series 

Tables turned again, Sasuke become stronger than Naruto in this arc due to Orochimaru's cursed powers. They even fought a brutal battle in which Naruto lost. Therefore Sasuke was stronger at the end of the series.

Begging of Naruto shippuden 

After training with Jiraiya, Naruto got a lot stronger than before but it was nothing compared to the growth that Sasuke got after training with Orochimaru. Hence, Sasuke was still stronger. 

After Pain Arc 

After the end of Pain Arc, both Naruto and Sasuke become strong, especially Naruto. Sasuke after defeating Itachi, gets his Mangekyo Sharingan whereas Naruto mastered sage mode. Naruto's sage mode is very strong but he can't maintain that form for a long time. But still in sage mode, Naruto could beat Sasuke.  

During and After 4th Shinobi war 

War arc was a huge arc. Both characters went through a lot of power changes and it is not clear who was stronger as both characters played equal roles in defeating Six-path Madara and Kaguya Otsutsuki and even when they fought after war the result was a draw. Therefore is it safe to assume that Naruto and Sasuke were equally powerful. 

End of Naruto shippuden 

After the end of the Shippuden they were both shown as two unstoppable forces therefore it is a draw between the two.

At Beginning of Boruto: Naruto's next generation 

Again they were equally strong. Both characters fought against threats together as equals. Hence, draw again. 

When Naruto used his Bayron mode 

During a fight with Isshiki, Naruto unlocked Bayron mode by sacrificing Kurama and thanks to that he defeated him. This was Naruto's peak strength and where every other character including Sasuke were defeated, Naruto overpowered him. Therefore we can easily say that, Naruto with Bayron mode is stronger than Sasuke. 

After defeating Isshiki 

The fight against Isshiki was very impactful for both Naruto and Sasuke. Naruto lost his main source of power, Kurama and Sasuke lost his Rinnegan. Both of these are major losses for both characters and they may never be able to achieve their peak. Naruto lost his main source of power by sacrificing Kurama and he can't use Bayron mode again therefore the only thing remaining with him is Sage mode while, after losing Rinnegan Sasuke only lost abilities of Rinnegan and powers of MS sharingan are still with him therefore, Sasuke is now stronger. 

Naruto vs Sasuke: The conclusion 

Both Naruto and Sasuke are very strong and their power level changes frequently throughout the series but, Naruto's peak strength is higher than Sasuke's. 

Bayron mode is stronger than any technique Known by Sasuke but now after losing Kurama, Naruto gotten weak and as we know he can't use Bayron mode again. That means, currently Sasuke is stronger than Naruto.
