 Isekai ojisan: Anime that redefine its genre. Episodes 3 release date & more

Isekai ojisan or Uncle from another world (English title) is a new summer anime released in June 6, 2022 that is yesterday. Episode 1 is out and currently streaming in Netflix. It is an isekai, comedy anime created by studio AtelierPontdarc. After many thrash isekai animes I found this anime promising. Its manga has total of 7 volumes and has mostly positive reviews. It has a unique plot that most isekai animes lacks. Also his uncle looks very interesting to me. Let's see what else this anime has to offer but first let's take a look at its plot.

Plot 

Isekai ojisan or Uncle from another world is a comedy, fantasy and isekai anime. After 17 years Takafumi's uncle woke up from coma. He was hit by a truck 17 years ago and that send him to an another world full of monsters, magics etc... Upon his awakening he met with Takafumi who is in highschool and lives alone in an apartment. His uncle told him about other world but he didn't believed him but he eventually did when his uncle showed him some magic tricks he learnt at other world. After a week his uncle get a discharge from hospital and shift to Takafumi's place. He was in coma for almost 2 decades hence there are lot of new changes for him. Now Takafumi must teach his magical uncle to live in this modern world full of new technologies. 

My thoughts:- I think this is one of the best plot I have ever seen in any isekai anime. I really loved the plot and i am excited to watch what is next to it.  

Characters, animation and others 

Only characters appeared in episode 1 was Takafumi, his uncle and a mysterious elf girl from another world whom he mentioned in his story. Takafumi's character was decent as we there wasn't much disclosed about him but his uncle look very interesting. His stories are not adventurous but heartbreaking. His looks suit his personality and his personality suits the plot. 

There wasn't any flashy animation scenes in first episode but I believe animation was good and no need to cut points on that. 

There are also many mysteries in the anime to hook your attention from very beginning like importance of consoles for him, who is that mysterious elf in his story, how he get there how he came back, what problems he faced there etc... As I said, this anime has lot of potential and its catchy plot is enough reason to give it a shot. 

Manga review without spoilers 

Its manga ran from July 2018 to present and readers have mixed reaction towards it. It is a comedy story but characters are deep and depressing. Art style of manga is decent too. There isn't much romance. Overall it is good and mostly loved by its readers. 

Conclusion

Unique storyline, unique protagonist who is big fan of gaming, hilarious characters and situations. I believe you should give it a shot. If you have watched so many isekai animes then you are gonna totally love it. 

So is anime going to be anime of the year? Maybe or may not. 

Is this anime worth following? Yes from my side.

Isekai ojisan episode 2 was released on 13th June, Wednesday at 21:00 according to IST (Indian standard time) and 15:30 according to GMT. So that means, 

Episode 3 of isekai ojisan will premiere on- 

• 20th July at 21:00 IST. 
• 15:30 Wed, July 20th GMT. 
• 16:30 Wed, July 20th London.
