Haikyuu is considered one of the best sports anime of all time. From story to animation, the series has done marvelous work in every field. If you have watched the series then you probably know about setters, a setter is a player who sets the ball for his team's attackers. Now let's not waste any more time and start our list of 10 best setters in Haikyuu.

So let's begin….

10. Sakae Echigo

Haikyuu: Top 10 Best Settes in the series. (Anime only).

Sakae Echigo is a 3rd year setter and team captain of Tsubakihara Academy. He is 183.2 cm (6' 0.1") tall and has an amazing combination of power, stamina and technique. Thanks to his setting skills and captain ship, Tsubakihara Academy reached spring nationals although they lost to Kurasuno in their very first round with a score of 23-25 and 23-25.

9. Kenjirō Shirabu

Haikyuu: Top 10 Best Settes in the series. (Anime only).

Kenjirō is a second-year student attending Shiratorizawa Academy. He is very hard working and knows how and when to make changes. Shiratoizawa has Ushiwaka who is an excellent spiker due to which his primary job is to set for him which he handled perfectly. A good spiker needs a good setter and we all know how good Ushijima is, so give some credit to Kenjirō.

8. Kaname Moniwa

Haikyuu: Top 10 Best Settes in the series. (Anime only).

Kaname Moniwa was a third year student from Date Tech High. He was the setter and the team captain during interhigh but retired afterward. His skills as a setter were amazing also he is a great captain who always encourage his team at every moment.

7. Koshi Sugawara

Tōru Oikawa Oikawa is the third year sette and captain of Aoba Josei boys volleyball team. He is an amazing setter and even a better leader. He knows how to control the game with his team. His sets are accurate and serves are unstoppable. He serves as the major antagonist of the series in season 1 and 2 and I believe he is a major reason for making the first 2 seasons of the anime unforgettable. He earned the award of best setter in the prefecture during middle school.

Sugawara is a 3rd year setter and the vice captain of Kurasuno Highschool, boys volleyball team. Before Kageyama, he was the team's starting setter and now plays as substitute setter and pinch server. He is an amazing team player and knows how to control the game. He uses finger signs to communicate with his team during games which is very effective for offensive playing.

6. Semi Eita

Haikyuu: Top 10 Best Settes in the series. (Anime only).

Semi is a 3rd year student of Shiratorizawa Academy. He plays on the boys volleyball team as a pinch server and setter. In terms of skills and technique he outclass Kenjirō (starting setter of the team) but due to his unsafe playing style which doesn't suit Ushijima, he is not a part of the team's starting lineup. He is hot headed and hungry for the spotlight but we can't deny that he could be a great player if he would play with some other team. He is also very good at serving.

5. Keiji Akaashi

Akaashi is a second year setter and vice captain of Fukurōdani Academy, boys volleyball team. He bears a huge responsibility of his team on his shoulders. First of all he is a setter who is the piller of offences, second he has to make sure that everything is working fine for their ace spiker, Bokuto. He also acts like a leader in absence of Bokuto. He is very sharp and capable of making split second decisions. In short, he is the backbone of his team.

Kenma is a second year student in Nekoma High. He is the team's setter and considered as the "heart" and "brain" of the team due to his setting skills and analytical personality. He can analyse his opponents and can control the game at his will. He always remains calm and doesn't show his emotions. He lacks stamina but thanks to his amazing skills, he always serves as a valuable asset for his team.

His quick attack with his twin brother, Osamu is simply best. He is also very good at serving. He knows both, jump floats and powerful jump serves which makes him unpredictable.
