Hello weebs! Today we will talk about 10 anime studios and their speciality. An anime is created by the collective effort of many people. Story could be created by a single person but to present it as animation is not a one man job, it need a team, company or studio to bring that story to life and just like humans, studios have their strengths and weaknesses too. Some are good at one thing and some are at other and that's what this list is about. In this list I will list down 10 popular anime studios and their speciality. So without wasting any time let's begin the show.

1. Production I.G - Sports anime
Production I.G was founded in 1987 and till date has produced many anime like- Ghost in the shell, Blood: the last vampire, Psycho-pass etc… but that's not why this studio is known for, it is known mostly for its excellent sports anime like- Haikyuu, Ace of diamond, Ao Ashi, prince of tennis, Kuroko no Basket and more. When it comes to sports than Production I.G never disappoints. From adaptation to animation, they nail every field with perfection. Hence we can say that Production I.G is best at producing Sports Anime.

2. Toei Animation - shounen
Toei Animation was the first ever anime studio created back in 1948. It has ruled the anime industry for over 70 years. The studio has created more than 600 hundred anime movies and series. Toei Animation has created anime of different genres and for different age groups but what they are known mostly for is their shounen anime. Some of the greatest shounen anime of all time were created by none other than Toei Animation itself like Dragon Ball franchise, One Piece, Digimon, Slam dunk, Saint Saiya, dragon quest etc…
3. Studio Perriot - Anime Openings
In May 1979, one of the greatest anime studio of all time, Studio Perriot comes in existence. Studio Perriot is a direct competitor to Toei Animations. Both studios are known for creating marvelous shounen animes. They made some of the greatest shounen animes of all time that are Naruto, Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho and Black clover. But the title for "shounen king" still goes to Toei Animations but there is still one thing Perriot does better than anyone else and that is, creating anime openings. The studio has ruined some animes and sometimes been criticized for their inconsistent animation but we can't ignore their consistency of creating Bangers one after another.
4. Madhouse - Seinen Animes
Madhouse is Japan's one of the oldest anime studios founded in 1972. It has a very good reputation in the industry as their work is flawless. Madhouse has created many animes and their every work is worth watching. Despite the variation in genre, you will notice one thing common in their every anime that is the maturity of the story. If you are an adult or atleast love watching anime with an adult theme then I bet that studio Madhouse is your favourite studio. Most of their anime belongs to either seinen (for Man) or josie (for Women) genre and even if they don't then still their stories are deep and dark. The studio has produced some of the best seinen anime of all time for example- Death Note, Death Parade, Monster, Perfect Blue, Paprika, parasite, one outs, kaiji, Black Lagoon, Rainbow, Hellsing Ultimate, Tatami Galaxy and many more.
5. Cloverworks - Attractive Girls
Cloverworks is one of the most popular anime studios of this century. It was founded in 2018 and till date has produced 20+ anime series. The studio has created many popular anime like- Promised Neverland, Spy x family, my dress up darling etc… I personally like studio Cloverworks a lot due to its amazing animation. I also call this studio "Waifu Generator" because of how many great waifu materials they have created. Marin Kitagawa from My dress up darling, Mai Sakurajima from Bunny girl senpai, Yor from Spy x family, Kyouko Hori from Horimiya and zero two from darling in the frankxx are some popular examples.
6. Shin-Ei Animation - Kodomomuke
Shin-Ei Animation is the anime behind our childhood. It was founded in 1976 by Daikichirō Kusube, previous Toei animator. Shin-Ei Animation has made many anime but Kodomomuke is their most popular and successful genre. If you don't know then Kodomomuke is an anime genre which targets kids below 12. The studio is responsible for making most popular and successful Kodomomuke anime like- Doraemon, Shinchan, Atashichi, ninja hattori, per man and many more.
7. Kyoto Animation - Slice of Life and Drama
Kyoto Animation or Kyoani is a well known anime studio founded in 1985. They produce one of the finest animation and visuals. KyoAni does marvelous work in the field of character designs, emotions and detailed animation. The studio has produced anime of various genres but they out class every other anime studio in Drama and slice of life genre. Some of their notable works are:- K-on!, Clannad, Violet Evergarden, Silent voice etc…

8. Ufotable - camera work/Cinematography
Ufotable is another amazing animation studio, it was founded in 2000. The studio is known for its very smooth and beautiful animation. The studio has done an amazing job on animation in every anime but they earned most of its popularity due to Demon Slayer. No doubt that studio Ufotable is an amazing animation company but only high budget animation is not the reason for their success, the camera work between the scenes make their animation more beautiful and stand out from others. You may never have noticed but the camera work of Ufotable is best in the industry.
9. Sunrise - Original Animes
Studio Sunrise currently merged with Bandai Namco is one of the most influential anime studios of all time. It was founded in 1972 and is best known for making superhits like the Gundam franchise, Cowboy bepop and Code Geass. And for your general knowledge, all these series are the studio's original work which means they are not adapted from manga or visual novels but created by the studio itself. Cowboy bepop is international hit and Gundam is one of the biggest anime franchise in Japan with over 50+ series, OVAs and Movies and how can we forget World wide hit series, Code Geass. Over the years, Sunrise has made many different animes including hits like Gintama but their greatest and most successful were their original works.
10. MAPPA - Action! Action!
MAPPA studios was founded in 2011 and currently is the most trending studio. The studio's popularity skyrocketed after production of season 4 of Attack on Titan. Apart from stealing titles from other studio they have made many animes but most popular and successful were action animes. MAPPA is very good and producing fights and with their amazing animation, they have become everyone's favourite. They have provided us many great animes and their future seems even brighter as their upcoming lineup of anime looks very promising i.e. Chainsaw man, Vinland Saga season 2, AOT season 4 part 3 and more.
